Lead Design Engineer (Structural) - PE License Required

RealREPP, a national full-service recruiting firm, is partnering with a well-established MEP/engineering firm with headquarters in La Mirada, CA to assist in hiring an experienced Lead Design Engineer!

Open to working at any of the regional offices: La Mirada CA, Houston TX, Austin TX, Charlotte NC, Portland OR, Sumner WA, Fremont CA. Potential for remote!

Key Responsibilities

• Service as senior technical experience with Capitol Projects division
• Perform kit takeoffs for quoting/ordering materials
• Generate seismic bracing layouts
• Provide seismic design support for non-structural components
• Support engineering tasks
• Mentor junior engineers
• Collaborate with all departments to deliver design solutions
• Maintain department equipment/devices
• Assist with onboarding, training & communication with engineering staff
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years Structural/Civil Engineering experience
• 5 years Advanced Design Support for Structural Components
• PE license required (any state)
• Experience on data center projects (highly preferred)
• Experience on large-scale projects (required)
• Strong knowledge of ASCE, IBC, ACI, UFC
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam (required)

• Base Salary $160-200k (based on experience)
