- Collaborate on preparation of bid packages and complete assigned tasks.
- Participate in strategy meetings related to maintaining/growing the backlog.
- Review progress on projects and adjust schedules as needed.
- Maintain and update database of relevant resources and historical data.
- Keep records of all project details and documentation such as contracts, bids, and correspondence.
- Determine initial production rates.
- Estimate materials costs and labor hours needed to complete projects.
- Solicit material and subcontractor pricing.
- Work independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
- 5 years of heavy civil estimating experience on projects of similar size and scope.
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Math or related discipline from an accredited institution
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specs to determine work requirements
- Ability to demonstrate a successful track record of work bid and won
- Prior experience working with HCSS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines
- Salary 120-140k (based on experience)
