What are the responsibilities and job description for the FAR/DCMA Senior Accountant position at RealREPP?
The selected FAR/DCMA Senior Accountant will be supporting the General Contractor on FAR/DCMA governed federal contracts and will work in the office 5 days per week. Prior accounting experience specific to construction and/or government contracts is required for serious consideration. Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating across departments to support project management and operations teams.
- Supporting audits and DCMA inquiries
- Preparing invoices to support audit requests
- Preparing reports showing project cost forecasts, monthly reporting, and variance analyses
- Managing billing and revenue recognition for contract deliverables
- Working to support process improvement to allow for scaling
- Helping to establish accounting policies/procedures to manage cost accounting, project billing, and reporting
- Proactively identify training gaps with personnel, ensuring that they gain access to proper resources and supplemental training to maximize career growth potential.
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience supporting government contracts
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Knowledge of FAR/DCMA accounting requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective deadline management skills including the ability to delegate
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Salary $95k-125k (based on experience and certifications)
