What You'll Do
- Analyze project blueprints, drawings, and specifications to generate accurate estimates.
- Evaluate material, labor, and equipment costs for glass and glazing systems.
- Prepare bid packages and pricing proposals in accordance with company guidelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements and cost expectations.
- Utilize construction knowledge to identify potential risks and propose value engineering solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and construction methods.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and delivering high-quality estimates.
- Assist in client meetings to discuss proposals and provide expert advice when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, preferably with expertise in glass and glazing systems.
- Prior experience utilizing Glass Manager preferred.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in estimation software and tools, with strong MS Office skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
