Role Overview:

The Room Foreman is responsible for overseeing the condition of the freezer and support the Warehouse Supervisor.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for promoting a Safety Culture throughout the Facility, working safe is always the #1 priority; clean as you go to ensure everyone is working in a safe environment. Follow all safety rules & regulations at all times and be a conduit of safety to yourself and others.
• Train all forklift operators working in the freezer on order selecting and put-aways.
• Oversee the condition of the freezer including following up with aisle assignments.
• Ensure all orders are selected timely and correctly.
• Supports and assists the e-Comm lines with any shortages.
• Ensures preselection happens for e-Comm customers daily.
• Replenish racks with next day orders.
• Oversees restocking “put-away” of all overstock cases at end of day.
• Supports inventory control with such items as, but not be limited to: organizing the freezer, picking up strays, keeping them informed
• Select outbound orders with Public Refrigerated Warehousing (PRW) crew as needed.
• Assist with restocking or putting away product as needed.
• Work with inventory control team to learn the system for continued growth.
• Ensure racks are run back in the room after each day is completed.
• Assist supervisor with days’ workload.
• Perform other assigned duties as instructed.

Requirements of the Position:

• One year of warehouse experience.
• Must possess valid a US Drivers License.
• Experience in a cold storage facility a plus.
• Experience operating several types of equipment including forklift, pallet jack and high reach forklift and have the ability to be certified upon hire.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Extensive knowledge of operations and production management in a warehouse setting.

Work Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be flexible and be able to work overtime.
• Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Dress code is relaxed with a few rules to follow for safety; comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required.

Work Environment:

Works in a cold storage facility with exposure to low to below zero temperatures. This job may involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as dust, noise, etc. Environment may be fast paced at times. You will be working around moving machines – order pickers and forklifts.

• Prolonged periods of walking through a cold warehouse environment below 34 degrees for up to 8 to 10 hours daily.
• Ability to walk through warehouse for up to 8 to 10 hours per shift.
• Must be able to maintain attention for long periods of time with constant interruptions
• Ability to lift over 30lbs multiple times a day
