The Role:
The Administrative Team Member performs a variety of clerical, record-keeping, and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operation of the organization. The incumbent must interface well with other team members to create a positive work environment and healthy team culture.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Greets and directs clients, drivers and team members.
- Make appointments and referrals.
- Answers phones calls and emails.
- Performs data entry and filing tasks for accounts payable, purchase orders, equipment inventory, and confidential employee or departmental files.
- Receives, records, and distributes packages and mail.
- Compiles budget data and maintain financial records as requested.
- Copies, collates, and otherwise prepares reports for mailings, meetings, and other correspondence.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Position:
- Minimum 1 year of clerical work experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to type at least 50 WPM.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must read, write, speak and understand English.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- The ability to work in a team environment geared towards the common goals of shipping product/customer orders on time and in a safe manner.
- Able to proofread.
- Basic understanding of office equipment.
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as record-keeping and filing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Interact in a professional, friendly and respectful manner.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and strong desire to succeed.
- Great work ethic.
- Ability to listen and take direction agreeably.
- Be on time to work and reliable.
Work Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be flexible and be able to work overtime.
- Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
Work Environment:
Works in a cold storage facility with exposure to low to below zero temperatures. This job may involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as dust, noise, etc. Accidents are improbable other than minor injuries. Environment may be fast paced at times. You will be working around moving machines, order pickers and forklifts.
