The Leasing Agent is responsible for creating an outstanding experience for prospective residents during our showings. As the first point of contact for our company, this role represents the face of Real Property Management Pittsburgh and plays a key role in building trust with prospective residents while helping property owners minimize vacancy.
Success in this role requires excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage listings and showings of multiple priorities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to prospective resident questions.
- Record and maintain accurate prospect information within company software.
- Maintain current and accurate listings for available rental properties.
- Conduct property showings.
- Assess property conditions, as needed, during showings.
- Collect and submit weekly market feedback on vacant properties.
- Help property managers coordinate a smooth onboarding process for approved residents.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve leasing processes and customer experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Strong computer skills, including Google Workspace and CRM/property management software (we use Appfolio and RentEngine).
- Knowledge of the local rental market is a plus.
- Pennsylvania Real Estate Salesperson License preferred but not required
- Must have working knowledge of, or willingness to learn:
- Fair Housing Laws
- Pennsylvania Landlord-Tenant practices
- Building maintenance basics
- Anti-discrimination laws

Compensation & Schedule
This is Full-Time AND Part-time hours. Leasing is seasonal, so it depends on the time of the year. Most likely full-time April-August. Part-time hours (20-30 hours) in other months.
- Average total compensation is approximately $24/hour, including leasing bonuses. Top performers have the opportunity to earn even more.
- $15.00/hour
- $75 leasing bonus for every signed lease
- Mileage reimbursement provided
- Weekend availability is required (Saturday and/or Sunday) since this is when most property tours are requested
- Weekday scheduling offers flexibility.
