What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preteen Coordinator position at Real Life Christian Church?
Position Summary
The Preteen Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and shepherding for the team members, parents, and children in 4th–6th grade.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, shepherd, motivate, and encourage preteen ministry team members.
- Responsible for developing and executing quality volunteer training.
- Maintain volunteer schedule.
- Evaluate and manage curriculum programs to support the spiritual needs of our kids, taking the current curriculum to a deeper level.
- Be able to teach and lead both kids and team members dynamically and have the ability to host in a large group environment.
- Assist in planning and coordinating special events for Kid Life.
- Be a part of our Connect Camp leadership team, in charge of specific responsibilities. Must be able to attend camp (June 8–12).
- Coordinate communications from Kid Life to preteen team members, students, and their families.
- Develop ways Kid Life can partner with parents.
- Perform other duties as assigned under the general direction of the Kid Life Pastor.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school education required.
- A bachelor’s degree in education is preferred (or ministry experience).
- Previous educational or ministry experience preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
- Short-term and long-range planning skills.
- Excellent people skills.
- Competency or ability to learn various digital programs, i.e., Planning Center, Mailchimp, Canva, Pebb, and ProPresenter.
