Property Maintenance Technician
Location: Norfolk, Nebraska
Position: We are open to either part-time or full-time employment depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, and availability.
Position Overview
A privately held real estate company is seeking a dependable and experienced Property Maintenance Technician to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of residential and commercial properties in the Norfolk area.
This is a hands-on position working alongside experienced maintenance staff and our property management team. We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities May Include:
- General maintenance, repairs, and property improvement projects
- Apartment and commercial property maintenance
- Mowing, trimming, landscaping, weed control, and general groundskeeping
- Maintaining clean exterior areas, including trash and debris removal
- Painting and general property improvements
- Basic building exterior and roofing maintenance
- Routine property inspections and identifying items needing attention
- Apartment turnover and repair work
- Safely operating common hand tools, power tools, and lawn equipment
- Working with contractors and vendors on property repairs and projects
- Light assistance with snow and ice removal
Qualifications:
- Previous apartment, commercial property, facilities, construction, or general maintenance experience preferred
- General handyman, repair, and mechanical skills
- Experience with lawn care and grounds maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete routine repairs independently
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work with limited supervision
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining well-kept properties
- Ability to safely operate common maintenance and lawn-care equipment
- Ability to perform physical work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Experience with commercial roofing systems, including EPDM roofing, is a plus but not required.
