Affordable Housing Property Manager – LIHTC
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Property Manager who understands affordable housing compliance, enjoys leading a team, and can effectively manage both the operational and financial responsibilities of a property.
Property Manager Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the property
- Supervise, train, and support onsite staff
- Maintain compliance with LIHTC and affordable housing requirements
- Oversee resident certifications and annual recertifications
- Manage leasing, rent collections, delinquencies, and resident relations
- Assist with preparation and management of the annual property budget
- Monitor property expenses and overall financial performance
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and applicable housing regulations
- Oversee move-ins, move-outs, unit inspections, and turnover
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure property standards are maintained
- Support resident programs and provide excellent resident service
Property Manager Qualifications
- Strong LIHTC experience required
- Previous Property Management experience required
- 4 years of affordable housing and/or property management experience preferred
- Experience with HUD, Section 8, and other affordable housing programs highly desirable
- Knowledge of Fair Housing and affordable housing compliance requirements
- Experience with property budgets and financial reporting
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Yardi experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree a plus
