What are the responsibilities and job description for the FP&A Associate position at Real Estate Investment Company?
Our client is seeking an FP&A Associate to join its finance team in a newly created role reporting directly to the CFO. This individual will help build and strengthen the firm's FP&A function, developing financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis capabilities to support continued growth. The role will partner closely with Finance, Asset Management, and Operations to provide financial insights, improve reporting processes, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain monthly, annual, and multi-year financial plans, forecasts, and budgets across the consolidated business and individual operating locations.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations to improve profitability, manage costs, and support business growth.
- Prepare monthly financial statement variance and flux analyses, including actual-versus-plan reporting across income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting, planning processes, and overall efficiency.
- Support the development and optimization of financial planning systems, reporting tools, and data processes.
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial planning, or a related analytical finance role.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA a plus.
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement analysis skills.
