POSITION OVERVIEW

ReadyOne Industries is a mission-driven manufacturer producing military protective garments for the U.S. Department of Defense under the AbilityOne Program. As we execute a major workforce expansion in 2026 and strengthen our organizational structure, the Production Supervisor is a critical frontline leadership role responsible for driving daily production output, quality, and team performance across multiple sewing manufacturing lines.

The Production Supervisor directly oversees Team Leaders and their production teams, ensuring that ReadyOne meets its contractual delivery obligations on programs including but not limited to JSLIST, 2PUG, ACP, FRACU, etc., and other government contracts while maintaining the inclusive, high-performance culture that defines our organization. This role requires a leader who thrives on the production floor, is data-driven in decision-making, and is deeply committed to developing people.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Production Operations & Floor Management

Own daily production output for assigned lines, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and contractual delivery timelines.

Monitor real-time production metrics (units produced, efficiency rates, downtime) and take immediate corrective action when targets are at risk.

Coordinate line balancing, workstation assignments, and resource allocation across shifts to maximize throughput.

Conduct structured floor walks (minimum 75-80% floor presence) to identify bottlenecks, observe workflow, and provide hands-on support.

Collaborate with the Production Manager and Manufacturing Director to align daily operations with S&OP targets and customer delivery requirements.

2. Team Leadership & People Development

Directly supervise and develop Team Leaders, ensuring each maintains effective oversight of their production teams.

Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance check-ins, and development conversations with Team Leaders to build leadership capability.

Partner with HR/HRBP on performance management, corrective action, attendance management, and employee relations matters.

Drive a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement on the production floor.

Support onboarding and integration of new hires during the 2026 workforce expansion, ensuring smooth assimilation into production teams.

3. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

Enforce in-line and end-of-line quality standards for all garments produced, ensuring compliance with government contract specifications and DLA requirements.

Lead root cause analysis (5-Why, fishbone) when quality issues arise and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, improve cycle time, and increase first-pass yield.

Collaborate with Quality and In-Line Trainers to address skill gaps and recurring defect patterns.

4. AbilityOne Compliance & Inclusive Workforce

Ensure production teams maintain compliance with the 75% direct labor hours (ODLH) disability ratio required under the AbilityOne Program.

Partner with HR to implement reasonable accommodations and inclusive work practices that enable all employees to perform at their best.

Foster an environment of respect, dignity, and equitable opportunity for employees of all abilities.

5. Safety & Compliance

Champion a zero-incident safety culture by enforcing OSHA standards, conducting daily safety walks, and ensuring proper use of PPE.

Lead safety huddles, investigate incidents and near-misses, and ensure timely corrective action and documentation.

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including FAR/DFARS, SCA (Service Contract Act), and DCAA requirements as they relate to production operations.

Monitor ergonomic risk factors in sewing operations and implement proactive measures to reduce repetitive strain injuries.

6. Timekeeping & Administrative Oversight

Oversee Team Leader verification of daily timekeeping in PayCom, ensuring accuracy of clock-ins, break compliance, and overtime authorization.

Review and approve timekeeping exceptions, missed punches, and schedule adjustments in accordance with FLSA and SCA requirements.
