POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is pivotal in supporting our US Warfighters and the AbilityOne program, Contributing to ReadyOne Industries Mission. Operates non-sewing machine or other manual tools to press, mark, turn / pick, cut, measure, trim, inspect, snap setting, punching, marking and other jobs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategies that ensure operational activities align with ReadyOne's cultural behaviors of accountability, diversity, honesty, collaboration, empathy, innovation, passion, and effective communication.
- Adhere to and execute company policies and procedures while driving continuous improvement across all operational processes
- Must meet AbilityOne requirements to participate in program.
- Press knee or heel lever depresses pedal or moves hand lever to activate equipment.
- Position parts to be joined under presser foot and lowers presser foot or uses hand tools to perform operations such as marking, cut apart, turn / pick, cut and measure, snap setting, punching, and/or trim and inspect.
- Start, stop, and control speed of machine with pedal or knee lever when required.
- Notify supervisor equipment malfunction.
- Cut excess thread or material using hand tools when required.
- Must follow all safety rules.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Experience: Some knowledge of industrial sewing machine operations preferred but not required, such as single or double needle etc.
- Specific Skills: Must be able to follow verbal or written instructions.
- Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: None required.
- Other Skills and Abilities: Good mechanical aptitude to be able to make machine adjustments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Occasionally stands and walks.
- Frequently sits. Continuously gasps.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 5 pounds.
