What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ticket Sales + Sponsorship Intern (Full Season: September – April) position at Reading Royals?
The Reading Royals are looking for a motivated, hard-working individual who wants real experience in sports sales. As a full season Ticket Sales Sponsorship Intern, you’ll be in the trenches making calls, generating revenue, and learning what it takes to succeed in this industry. This internship has been a stepping stone for past interns into full-time roles with the Royals and other teams across the sports industry.

- Assist in selling full season ticket plans, partial plans, group tickets, fundraising packages, and sponsorship opportunities
- Make a minimum of 30 outbound sales calls per day with guidance from the supervisor
- Support the service and retention of season ticket holders, sponsors, and group leaders
- Provide customer service to fans on game nights while assisting with overall game operations
- Gain a working knowledge of Ticketmaster and internal systems
- Assist with printing and distributing Will Call tickets on game nights
- Process incoming ticket orders and payments
- Collect, input, and manage data within the CRM system
- Assist with sponsor activations and in-game elements when needed
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Ticket Sales Coordinator
- Internship eligible for college credit
- Enrolled in a Business, Sports Management, or related degree program
- Interest in ticket sales, sponsorship, and the sports industry
- Strong communication skills and willingness to make outbound sales calls
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and all home games (September through April)
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic in a team environment
