Reading Reach Literacy Center in Oceanside is looking for passionate, credentialed teachers who believe every child can learn to read with evidence-based instruction. We're seeking qualified teachers to provide in-person, individualized, structured literacy instruction to students in grades K–8. The ideal candidates will have experience supporting students with dyslexia and other reading challenges and will be committed to fostering academic growth and confidence in struggling readers. Three shifts available: 1) Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from approximately 3:30pm-6:30pm (or 2:30pm-6:30pm); 2) Tuesdays and Thursdays, from approximately 3:30pm-6:30pm (or 2:30pm-6:30pm); 3) Monday through Friday 2:30-6:30pm -Training in Orton-Gillingham, IMSE, Wilson, or comparable structured literacy approaches is preferred. -Benefits available after 90 days (retirement, sick time). -Livescan fingerprints required for employment. -Mandated reporter and child abuse prevention training required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Deliver one-on-one reading and spelling instruction using structured literacy methods, -Implement Orton-Gillingham based strategies and multisensory techniques, -Assess student progress and maintain accurate instructional records, -Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, -Prepare lesson plans and materials tailored to individual student needs using specified curriculum & materials, -Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment.
