Serving as the system’s principal pharmacy strategist, this leader drives the vision for evidence‑based medication use, quality outcomes, and financial sustainability. This leader:
- ensures that all pharmacy operations comply with federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, and professional practice guidelines.
- oversees the design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical pharmacy programs.
- oversees the procurement, preparation, distribution, and control of medications.
- oversees the financial stewardship of drug budgets, inventories, and reimbursement strategies.
- directs and aligns pharmacy business operations, residency programs, professional training initiatives, and workforce planning.
- identifies market trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- standardizes pharmacy practices across the enterprise.
- collaborates with internal and external partners to optimize drug utilization, strengthen 340B performance, and enhance patient care.
Qualifications
Education Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
- Inpatient and ambulatory pharmacy leadership experience required
- Ability to execute strategies based on system priorities
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate, facilitate, and negotiate with key stakeholders, healthcare personnel, and external constituents with diplomacy and integrity
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Adaptable leader who influences smooth operations in dynamic environments

- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in medication safety standards
