The Unit Support Coordinator:
- Provides guests information and supports the efforts of the unit staff
- Performs designated duties under the supervision of a professional nurse
- Handles clerical and specific administrative tasks for the nursing unit
- Assembles patient records, answers phones and patient calls
- Orders and ensures delivery of supplies, timekeeping via Kronos, welcomes new patients and families to the unit, orients to patient / family areas of the unit, answers call lights, and other related functions as needed.
- Assists the unit leaders in disseminating pertinent information to the staff.
