We are seeking a skilled and driven Executive Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in leading kitchen operations at a high-performing culinary establishment in Phoenix. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including prep, service, and sanitation
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high performance and morale
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and adherence to recipes and standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to meet budget targets
- Maintain compliance with local health and safety regulations
- Oversee scheduling and labor management to optimize efficiency
- Step in as acting Executive Chef when needed
- Collaborate on menu development, seasonal offerings, and specials
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organization at all times
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a Sous Chef or senior kitchen leadership role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Deep knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience with inventory systems and cost control practices
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
