Job Description:
We're seeking passionate and dedicated Special Instructors/Educators to join our team and provide exceptional early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays. As a Special Instructor/Teacher in our ABA Early Intervention program, you will work one-on-one with children ages 0-3, providing evidence-based strategies to help them achieve individualized goals and developmental milestones. You will also educate and guide parents/caregivers to ensure consistency and carryover between sessions, and collaborate with families, care coordinators, and other members of the care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 intervention services to children ages 0-3 in home or community settings
- Use evidence-based strategies to help children achieve individualized goals and developmental milestones
- Educate and guide parents/caregivers to ensure consistency and carryover between sessions
- Collaborate with families, care coordinators, and other members of the care team
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation using a user-friendly electronic billing and case management system
- Manage and schedule your own caseload based on availability and preferences
Schedule:
- Sessions range from 30 to 60 minutes
- Frequency: As many cases as you like. Cases range from half hour to 20 hours.
- Flexible scheduling available
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Special Education from an accredited institution
- Valid New York State Teaching Certification (Birth–Grade 2 Students with Disabilities) (Required)
- At least 1 year of experience working with children ages 0-5 and their families (preferred)
- DOH (Department of Health) approval is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and complete documentation promptly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
