Job Summary:
Little Meadows is currently seeking motivated, compassionate, and energetic individuals to join our team as one-to-one Teacher's Aides in our Early Intervention (EI) Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) classrooms. This is a part-time position, Monday to Friday from 7:45 am to 1:15 pm. (Extra hours will be available depending on enrollment). This is an excellent learning experience for individuals seeking to work with children with disabilities.
As a Teacher's Aide, you will work closely with toddlers (2-3 years old) on the Autism Spectrum, providing one-to-one support for their socialization, communication, motor, cognitive skills, and self-soothing techniques. You will collaborate with lead teachers and other aides in the classroom to ensure a cohesive team approach.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in modifying the learning environment to regulate behaviors and promote self-soothing.
- Learning to collect data manually and digitally.
- Collaborating with the lead teacher to create programmatic instructions.
- Collaborating with other one-to-one staff to maintain a clean and organized classroom.
- Assisting with diaper changes and supporting toddlers in self-feeding.
Work Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Teacher's Assistant or Aide.
- Preferred experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Proof of vaccination required.
- High School Diploma required; some College preferred.
- Ability to safely lift to 20 lbs.
- Flexibility in adapting to daily student rotation schedules.
