Join our dynamic and rapidly expanding sports memorabilia auction house as a Sports Memorabilia Auction Associate & Operations Specialist. This critical role is pivotal to the accurate and efficient processing of auction material as well as the support of ongoing operational activities. As a member of our team, you will play a vital part in continuing our company’s 30 year history as a leader in the field and ensuring our customers' experiences are of the highest quality by contributing to the development and implementation of our auctions while maintaining the high standards that have been central to our success and sterling reputation.
Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately input and update auction-related information into our database, including item descriptions, provenance, condition reports, and pricing details.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of entered data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness, making necessary corrections as required.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the organization and tracking of incoming and outgoing items, ensuring items are properly documented and prepared for auction.
- Customer Support: Respond to inquiries from buyers, sellers, and internal stakeholders regarding auction details, item information, and logistics.
- Auction Support: Contribute to the smooth operation of online auctions, including assisting with registration, monitoring bids, and coordinating auction-related activities.
- Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the operations team to facilitate the seamless movement of items, from consignment to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate information flow.
- Reporting: Generate reports and analyze data related to auction inventory and operational metrics as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: College degree or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework in data entry, operations, or related fields are a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in data entry, cataloging, or operations roles, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for detail and ability to maintain data accuracy in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using database management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and online platforms.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, identify solutions, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Passion for Sports: Enthusiasm for sports and/or sports memorabilia is not required but is highly desirable, as it enhances your ability to engage with and understand the items being auctioned.
