Position Summary
The Senior Business Development Manager will own and grow a healthcare-focused territory, bringing an established book of business and a proven track record of closing complex B2B sales. You will be responsible for managing high-value client relationships, identifying and converting new opportunities within the healthcare vertical, and serving as a senior contributor to Re-Sources' sales strategy. This role reports directly to senior leadership and carries significant visibility and earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage an existing healthcare book of business to generate immediate revenue and accelerate territory growth
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close
- Build and deepen strategic relationships with C-suite, VP, and department-level decision makers within hospitals, health systems, and large healthcare organizations
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the healthcare vertical while maintaining and expanding current accounts
- Collaborate with operations, technical, and service delivery teams to ensure client satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities
- Represent Re-Sources at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to maintain visibility in the healthcare market
- Maintain accurate and timely pipeline reporting and activity documentation within CRM/ERP systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, or equivalent)
- Provide market intelligence and client feedback to inform service offerings and growth strategy
Qualifications
Required
- 7 years of B2B sales or business development experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused in the healthcare industry
- Demonstrated, transferable book of business with established relationships across Northeast Ohio healthcare organizations
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a complex, solution-based selling environment
- Deep understanding of healthcare procurement processes, buying cycles, and key decision-making structures
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and executive communication skills
- Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel locally and regionally as needed
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Experience selling IT storage, medical equipment, facilities, or technical services into hospital or health system environments
- Existing relationships with materials management, supply chain, facilities, or IT leadership within the healthcare sector
Compensation
- Base Salary: $90,000 - $110,000, commensurate with experience and demonstrated book of business
- Commission: 2% of collected revenue, paid quarterly, uncapped
- OTE: $130,000 at $1M in revenue; significant upside for experienced reps with established pipelines
