We are looking for a senior media strategist to join our dynamic team.
This position will inform media strategy and lead day-to-day execution across all media channels – with a focus on both traditional and digital. The senior media strategist will manage day-to-day relationships with both clients and external partners and will ensure accurate record-keeping on all accounts. The senior media strategist will possess a solid knowledge of the clients’ business and actively bring new ideas and recommendations to the team for the clients’ campaigns.
This position requires that the candidate be a self-starter, extremely organized, detail-oriented, and highly motivated. The successful candidate will also possess the ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities while managing client expectations, timelines, and coordination between various resources.
Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy & Development:
- Lead the media planning process, translating client goals into actionable media objectives and strategies.
- Develop and execute comprehensive media plans across a diverse range of channels, including both digital and traditional media.
- Conduct in-depth audience research using various tools (Scarborough, Nielsen) to identify target audience behaviors and preferences.
- Oversee the development of RFPs, evaluate proposals from media partners, and negotiate rates and added value to optimize media investments.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and emerging media solutions.
Campaign Management & Optimization:
- Manage day-to-day campaign operations, ensuring flawless execution, timely delivery of assets, and adherence to established processes.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance data and key metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to deliver cohesive and integrated campaigns.
Client & Vendor/Partner Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, manage expectations, address concerns, and provide regular updates and presentations on media strategy and performance.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with media partners and advertising platforms.
Required Skills/Knowledge & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience planning, developing, and managing media campaigns for brands or products, preferably in an agency or in-house media department
- Ability to analyze data and a deep understanding of measurement practices
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to consistently perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment as an individual and on a team
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated interest in keeping up with emerging technologies and marketing trends
- Experience with tools such as: MRI, Scarborough, Nielsen, Kantar, Microsoft Office 360, 3rd party ad serving, Looker Studio, Google Analytics
