This is a full-time on-site role for a Mail Machine Operator located in Buffalo, NY. The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery, ensuring production schedules are met, and conducting routine quality checks. Duties:
- Operate and maintain mail processing machines in a warehouse setting
- Set up machinery (folder, inserter and inkjets)
- Maintain productivity on machines
- Resolve mail processing problems
- Ensure that mail is processed accurately and efficiently
- Deliver a quality product while meeting all production deadlines
- Load materials, clear jams, and correct other simple malfunctions as needed
- complete and maintain operator logs including output and productivity
- Sort mail per USPS compliances
- Handle and transport materials within the warehouse
- Perform quality control checks on finished mail products
- Proficiency in mechanical skills deemed helpful
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Mail machine operation experience highly recommended
- Knowledge of postal preparation requirements
- Adjust immediately to changing priorities as determined by management
- Good attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and materials handling
