RDR is seeking an Operator to round with our Utility Line Installation and Maintenance Division in Ohio.
Job Summary:
- Safely dig and expose live utility lines without damaging other utilities in the area.
- Dig with guidance from ground spotter.
- Identify soil conditions and properly slope or bench trench to ensure safety of employees while working in trench.
- Install trench boxes in trench when conditions prevent safe trench entry to ensure employees are safe while working.
- Assist other employees as needed.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections and complete equipment checklist logbooks.
- Report issues to Foreman and/or Supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and perform routine field maintenance as needed
- Follow all RDR safety policies and requirements.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with crew members and supervisors.
- Basic troubleshooting skills and ability to identify mechanical issues.
- Strong situational awareness and ability to work safely around crews and equipment.
- Perform labor duties as needed.
- Final dress work with excavator preferred.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience operating a mini excavator.
- Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Physical endurance to stand for long periods of time as well as walk, squat, crouch.
Salary : $28 - $35
