Role Summary:
The Talent Development Manager drives the training and performance through coordination and collaboration with partners, principals and other leaders within the company. This role is critical in administering and advancing the vision of the company through business performance and the development of people who are better trained, more capable, and more engaged in delivering value to clients and the profession. The position ensures that employee growth directly strengthens RDC-S111's competitive advantage, reputation, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with the principals and leaders of each workgroup to understand and implement programs at the company and workgroup levels
- Work with People Services and Talent team s to maintain talent budget
- Lead the development and implementation of the annual performance program, using our HRIS
- Gather statistics and data to drive decision making in training, talent and performance areas
- Implement training and performance programs that allow for flexibility and scalability
Career Pathing & Performance Development:
- Partner with supervisors and practice leaders to define career pathways that advance both individual potential and firm capability
- Build development frameworks that equip staff with the skills, credentials, and leadership behaviors needed to increase their value to RDC-S111 and its clients
- Facilitate mentorships, peer-coaching groups, and leadership development programs focused on business impact and accountability
- Collaborate with management to coordinate firm’s Leadership Program, including retreats, promotion criteria, and nomination processes, to ensure alignment with firm goals
- Work with Senior Director, People Services to develop annual performance check - in program
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Lead career fair engagement and university relations in conjunction with Talent Acquisition Specialist, to maintain a steady pipeline of high-performing future hires
- Partner with Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage the summer internship program and create a pipeline for long-term staffing needs
- Collaborate with People Services to optimize onboarding for faster productivity and cultural alignment
Training & Knowledge Development:
- Coordinate and schedule professional training programs with Technical Management, BIM, and Materials leaders to advance technical rigor and design excellence
- Lead state of California “Employer Training Program” for company credit
- Introduce new learning technologies and methods that increase scalability and consistency in staff development
- Publish a monthly training newsletter highlighting programs that support firm objectives, licensure, and career advancement
- Participate in project kick-off and close-out meetings to link lessons learned to ongoing training priorities
- Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and recognition that reflects RDC-S111's brand as an employer of choice and industry leader
Qualifications:
- 6 years of progressive leadership in talent development, learning and training, or HR preferably within architecture, engineering, or professional services environments
- Proven ability to design and implement programs that measurably improve organizational performance
- Strong analytical and communication skills; proficient in Power BI, ADP, and other HRIS/analytics tools
- Experienced in aligning workforce strategies with corporate growth goals and operational priorities
- Demonstrated commitment to developing people as a means of strengthening firm capability and industry reputation
- Ability to work both individually and with a team
- Well organized and has an ability to maintain and advance multiple talent programs simultaneously
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
