Knowledge Management Officer

About the Position: Serves as the Knowledge Management Officer, US Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District headquarters in the modern 2 Hopkins Plaza building in downtown Baltimore, and within walking distance of the Inner Harbor, and other attractions. Adjacent to prestigious universities, world-class medical facilities, and cultural attractions. Our mission is to deliver engineering services to strengthen our Nation's security, economy and reduce risks from disasters.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Developing Knowledge Management processes to improve efficiency and informational organization; 2) Coordinating and/or independently developing and maintaining a wide variety of guidance and procedures; 3) Establishing methodologies to incorporate Knowledge Management; 4) Leveraging current information technologies to provide access to knowledge products through the use and enhancement of web/portal (SharePoint) tools across networks; and 5) Providing technological solutions to knowledge management requirements and provide Knowledge Management and portal training.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
