Senior Outside Sales| Construction and Government RCW Energy Services | Kilgore, Texas | East Texas/ Northwest Louisiana Territory
RCW Energy Services is seeking an experienced outside sales professional with established relationships in construction, utilities, municipal public works, or government infrastructure markets.
You will sell hydrovac services to heavy civil contractors, underground utility contractors, municipalities, utility districts, and public infrastructure project teams across East Texas. We are looking for someone who understands how these customers select service providers, can identify work before it reaches bid, and has a proven record of winning and growing accounts.
Candidates with strong construction or public sector sales experience are encouraged to apply, even if hydrovac has not been your primary service.
The opportunity
Take ownership of a dedicated sales territory and customer segment. You will work directly with RCW’s Sales Director and hydrovac operations leadership to pursue projects, prepare competitive proposals, secure awards, and build recurring customer relationships.
The primary territory extends approximately 100 miles from Kilgore, with opportunities in Shreveport and Bossier.
Key responsibilities
- Develop new accounts and expand existing relationships with contractors, municipalities, utilities, and public agencies.
- Establish relationships with owners, estimators, project managers, superintendents, public works directors, utility leaders, engineers, and procurement teams.
- Identify upcoming construction and infrastructure projects through customer relationships, bid opportunities, capital improvement plans, and contractor awards.
- Secure invitations to quote and position RCW as a qualified service provider before work is awarded.
- Manage vendor registrations, approved vendor status, and contractor prequalification requirements.
- Visit customers and jobsites to understand project scope, schedules, and excavation needs.
- Prepare quotes and coordinate pricing, truck availability, and awarded work with operations.
- Maintain accurate account records, opportunities, next steps, and sales forecasts in HubSpot.
Required qualifications
- Five or more years of successful outside sales experience serving construction, utilities, municipal customers, government infrastructure, or closely related markets.
- Demonstrated success winning new accounts and growing repeat business.
- Established customer relationships in East Texas or an adjacent market.
- Experience working with contractor decision makers or public sector purchasing teams.
- Strong prospecting, proposal preparation, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage a territory independently while coordinating closely with operations.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly for customer meetings and jobsite visits.
Preferred experience
Sales experience in hydrovac, vacuum truck services, excavation, underground utilities, construction equipment rental, or other services supporting civil and infrastructure projects. Knowledge of public bids, municipal procurement, cooperative purchasing, or TxDOT contractor work is also valuable.
