What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant position at RCJ Real Estate and Mortgages?

We are looking to hire a PART TIME/flexible office assistant at our property management and Real Estate Sales company. Help with the organization and daily operations of a small company. We own about 75 properties in Spartanburg County. Must be hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently. Must be able to report and track accurate numbers for payment collection and accurate data for legal contracts. Understanding of rent collections, home sales, mortgages, property maintenance and repairs, is a plus.

Looking at 10-20 hrs a week between 9-5 m-f. We are flexible, but regular hours would be good especially in the summer when office manager will work remotely. Please tell us why you only want to work PART TIME and why this type of position interests you, when you send your info to us. THANKS

Office is located near California and Asheville Highway in Spartanburg

Responsibilities

  • taking payments= we will do a credit and criminal check on you
  • assisting manager and owner as needed with paperwork, calls, maybe some errands
  • computer work will include Microsoft OFFICE, property management website data impute, updating contracts, eviction/foreclosure letters, making sure bills are paid, properties have insurance
  • communicating with customers, contractors, lawyers
  • helping keep the office clean and organized
  • Notary or willing to be one, would be great

Skills

  • experience as an office assistant or in similar role
  • organizational and time management skills
  • written and verbal communication skills
  • experience with Microsoft Office
  • experience with property management or similar
