Job Title: Panels Specialist

Reports To: Panels Supervisor

SUMMARY:
The Panel Technician is responsible for building and testing various industrial control panels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
This list describes the general task expectations. Other duties may be assigned.
- Machine panels & enclosures from assembly drawings.
- Read and understand electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of basic wiring techniques.
- Knowledge of skills required to assemble wire harnesses.
- Mount and wire parts according to schematic.
- Test Panels.
- Attend training as required to keep current with new components and wiring techniques.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good written & verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical components, motor controls, relay logic, PLC.
- Ability to layout, machine & mount parts to panels.
- Basic knowledge of PLC operation helpful.
- Able to work with engineers on in-process changes.
- Ability to get along with others in work environment.
- Ability to adapt to different design styles
- Ability to communicate well and work closely with others.
- Ability to read & understand procedures, layouts.
- Knowledge of skills required to Solder wire harnesses.
- Use of hand and power tools.
- Education and Experience:
- Familiarization with integration and controls industries.
- Technical School or one year of experience in control wiring preferred

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and reach with hands and arms, all day.
- The employee must regularly lift and move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
