We are seeking a results-driven Inventory Control Supervisor to lead inventory accuracy, material flow, and shipping/receiving operations within our manufacturing environment. This role is critical to achieving 98% inventory accuracy, eliminating material-related downtime, and optimizing warehouse and material handling processes.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-oriented, and experienced in driving accountability and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory & Material Control
- Drive and maintain 98% inventory accuracy through structured cycle counting.
- Establish and lead a formal cycle counting program.
- Organize and optimize inventory storage and material flow.
- Ensure parts not in PLEX are inventoried, controlled, and properly quarantined.
- Lead preparation and execution of physical inventory.
- Identify and resolve inventory variances and root causes.
- Optimize material picking and delivery strategies aligned with production schedules.
- Prevent material-related downtime through improved delivery systems.
Operations Oversight
- Oversee wash processes to ensure throughput and accuracy.
- Lead Shipping & Receiving process optimization.
- Improve material storage efficiency and warehouse layout.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards (as applicable).
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise Material Handling and Shipping/Receiving team members.
- Monitor safety, quality, productivity, and attendance.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
- Foster a team-oriented, accountable, and safety-first culture.
- Communicate company and departmental objectives through regular meetings.
- Motivate and develop employees to achieve operational goals.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Operations, or related field (preferred).
- 5–7 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Experience with ERP systems (PLEX experience preferred).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
- APICS certification or coursework is a plus.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and lead teams.
