Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries, illnesses, and surgeries. The Physical Therapy Assistant will assist in implementing treatment plans, complete documentation, and provide guidance and support to patients throughout their rehabilitation process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients
- Help patients perform therapeutic exercises and activities
- Provide hands-on assistance during therapy sessions
- Educate patients on proper techniques and exercises
- Document patient progress and communicate with therapists regarding treatment plans
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Assist in setting up equipment and preparing for therapy sessions
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques
- Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred
