Job Title: Medical Dosimetrist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and qualified Medical Dosimetrist to join our team. The Medical Dosimetrist will work closely with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to develop treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy. This role requires strong technical skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail in order to deliver precise and effective radiation treatments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to develop radiation treatment plans for patients
- Use computer software to calculate and optimize the delivery of radiation therapy
- Ensure accurate and safe delivery of radiation treatments
- Participate in quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of patient care
- Stay current with advancements in radiation therapy technology and techniques
- Provide education and support to patients undergoing radiation therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Dosimetry or related field
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) credential required
- Strong knowledge of radiation therapy principles and techniques
- Proficiency in treatment planning software, such as Eclipse or Varian
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure
