The Architect is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of buildings and related structures. This role focuses on delivering functional, safe, and visually appealing designs that align with client requirements, regulatory standards, and environmental considerations. The Architect works closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout all project phases—from initial concept through construction and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to all phases of the architectural process, including schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
- Develop creative and context-driven design solutions that meet client goals and site-specific requirements
- Collaborate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless coordination and technical accuracy across disciplines
- Prepare clear, precise, and code-compliant architectural drawings and specifications
- Review and oversee the work of junior team members and interns, providing guidance and mentorship
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, and inspections; document outcomes through meeting minutes and field reports
- Conduct research on materials, systems, and products to support design decisions and detailing
- Ensure all designs comply with zoning regulations, building codes, ADA standards, and sustainability objectives
- Support project planning by helping manage schedules and budgets in coordination with project managers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of professional architectural experience
- Active architectural license required
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and detailing
- Excellent design, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
