What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Director/EMS Cheif position at Raystown Ambulance Service?
The Executive Director (EMS Chief) is responsible for the daily operations of
Raystown Ambulance Service (RAS). The successful candidate will have a proven track
record of progressive management ideally within the Emergency Medical Services. Though
this role is primarily administrative the EMS Chief will be required to assist clinically as ALS
back up as needed and occasionally may be required to staff an ambulance to ensure
adequate coverage to our residents and visitors.
This position reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the
management of the clinical and administrative staff. The EMS Chief will be responsible for
payroll, recruitment & retention, ensuring compliance with any applicable regulatory
bodies, budget, P&L management, growth of RAS and the services it provides to the
community, ensuring billing compliance and completion and any other duties assigned by
the Board of Directors.
RAS responds to roughly 2300 calls for service annually as well as providing on site
medical coverage for several special events requiring EMS coverage. The staff consists of
ALS, ILS & BLS Providers. Understanding the scope of practice for each of these levels of
certification is necessary.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
