Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager to oversee operations in our fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the culinary arts, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety and quality, and maintaining efficient operations within the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha or Micros for cash handling and sales tracking.
• Train, develop, and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food service management and customer interaction.
• Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members to build a strong workforce.
• Implement effective shift management strategies to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas while adhering to food safety regulations.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism to ensure guest satisfaction.

Experience

• Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
• Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting practices.
• Experience with staff training & development, as well as supervising team members effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
• Previous experience in fine dining or casual dining environments is preferred.
• Culinary experience along with barista or coffee experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations gracefully.
