Overview
We are seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our Day Shift team. Hours for this position are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of menu items, use POS to take customer orders and prepare menu items making food as ordered accurately and promptly. Preparing all items in a safe and sanitary manner. Ensuring guest satisfaction with every item made.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation under the guidance of the Dayshift Assistant Manager
- Help with kitchen tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning, and preparing sauces
- Support in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to take and fulfill customer orders,
- Follow food safety standards and guidelines
Skills
- Experience as a cook is preferred
- Proficiency in food handling and food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of knife skills and kitchen equipment operation
- Familiarity with restaurant kitchen operations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
