Job Description
Technical Millwork Lead position is a full-time job managing, supporting, and growing the Millwork department representing a production effort for the team at Raydeo Enterprises. The safety of self and coworkers is your highest concern! It is imperative that you act as a guardian of the budget for this department, you are to protect the budget and ensure it is kept and executed in the most resourceful way possible. Technical Lead Millworkers will work in the shop but may also work on jobsites performing various duties. Have at least 5 years of successful Millwork experience, extensive fabrication experience, and can handle department tools correctly. Be able to manage and supervise up to 7 lower level employees and/or temporary laborers, and complete paperwork associated with daily duties. Can be assigned a task and complete it within budget and quality parameters.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities
- Receive and follow work orders as directed by your supervisor
- Follow the chain of command reporting to Millwork supervisor for any discrepancies in work orders, ADP, TSheets, Pull Lists, etc. so he can direct you down the right path for assistance
- Can conduct sheet lay-ups with laminate and any other requested materials
- Knows how to complete assemblies on multiple types of products in Millwork such as cabinets, draws, doors, panels, counters, signs, and more as directed by the supervisor
- Conducts proper filing and sanding techniques as trained by a Raydeo Lead or higher following SOP for product to be up to par for quality control checks
- Performs the final caseworks on assigned components in preparation for Finish and Install. This ranges from setting door handles, hinges, glides, ensuring everything is plumb and level, or anything else that maybe be required before install such as toe boards.
- Must be capable of undertaking other miscellaneous tasks as trained for through JSAs.
- Capable of utilizing a Pull List according to Raydeo SOP
- Any items on the Pull List that is not located or accounted for can be discussed with procurement via email through the Millwork Supervisor.
- Any material used that are not on the Pull List, must be noted on a “Material Transfer Request” and turned in to Purchasing as needed so that inventory levels can be adjusted.
- Any material needed that is not in stock must be obtained via “Material Order Request” in the Pull List by the Supervisor through Procurement
- Once the work order is started and job clocking is started it is your job to maintain your budget, stay on schedule, and maintain overall quality of components assigned to you.
- All Pull Lists need to be turned in when a component is complete. Include the stickers that were removed from unused materials (sheet goods, fasteners, hardware, and metals).
- All ordering of any supplies must go through Purchasing in order to get a Purchase Order assigned to it. (This includes trips to Home Depot etc.), Shipping and Receiving via the Millwork Supervisor.
- For shop supply ordering, please submit a “Material Request” form
- Have part numbers, Computer Ease item numbers, vendor and/or a detailed description of what is needed for orders.
- Do not change any BIN locations without approval from Purchasing due to the challenges it will cause when counting inventory.
- Must be at work on time
- Shop/job site clean-up
- Material and product handling.
- Pass drug screen in compliance with Georgia Drug Free Workplace Policy.
- Complete Job Safety Analysis (JSA) training on all tools pertinent to Millwork Department within first 30 calendar days
- Knowledge and use of proper material and product handling- see SOP
- Attend Safety Training meetings.
- Clock to TSheets time tracking app appropriately
- Use/maintain a Pull List.
- Able to manage up to 7 employees (be responsible for your employee’s actions)
- Maintain Pull Lists.
- Quality check all components
- Any other duties that are deemed necessary for business operations.
- 5 years of successful millwork experience or equivalent
- Read/understand shop drawings
- Have tape/adhesive experience
- Must be able to sand, grind and prep product.
- Have extensive knowledge of tools used in the shop and measuring devices
- Capable of learning Microsoft 365, Bluebeam , ADP, TSheets, CE, and other Raydeo computer softwares.
- Follow detailed instructions
- Must maintain any paperwork assigned and folders/files on jobs/components.
