Duties
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and root cause analysis to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead safety training sessions focused on OSHA compliance, first aid, CPR, workers' compensation law, and occupational health best practices.
- Oversee incident investigations by gathering evidence, writing detailed reports, and recommending preventive measures.
- Manage workers' compensation claims process in accordance with applicable laws to ensure fair treatment and compliance.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, including first aid readiness and CPR certification for team members.
- Maintain accurate safety records, prepare reports on safety performance metrics, and ensure documentation supports compliance audits.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and occupational health standards.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, OSHA safety training, and EPA regulations are highly preferred.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law and experience managing related claims processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
- Excellent report writing skills to document incidents, inspections, and safety initiatives clearly and thoroughly.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging training & development programs that enhance employee safety awareness.
