Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher and Laborer to join our team.
As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This is a physically demanding role that requires experience in concrete forming, finishing, carpentry, and other related skills.
Both Finisher and Laborer positions require the ability to lift, push or pull 50lbs or more and to be on your feet for long periods of time.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare concrete surfaces for finishing by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing
- Set up concrete forms and ensure they are properly aligned
- Pour and spread concrete using various tools and techniques
- Apply finishes such as troweling, stamping, or polishing to achieve desired texture and appearance
- Repair damaged or uneven surfaces using patching materials
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to coordinate workflow and ensure project deadlines are met
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role
- Strong knowledge of concrete forming techniques and materials
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to the trade
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction plans
- Familiarity with other related skills such as plastering, tile laying, or flooring installation is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge for operating machinery used in concrete finishing
