Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist in the finishing and smoothening of concrete surfaces, ensuring high-quality results on a variety of projects including commercial, residential, and renovation sites. Responsibilities
- Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and placement to ensure proper flow and setting.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks such as troweling, floating, edging, and brooming to achieve smooth surfaces.
- Support rebar installation and concrete forming activities to prepare for pouring operations.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for various tasks including caulking, trimming, and surface preparation.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Help with heavy lifting and material handling to ensure efficient workflow on-site.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris in accordance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of concrete finishing or related trades such as masonry or carpentry.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating processes are a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and power tools safely.
- Experience with blueprint reading, schematics, or technical drawings relevant to concrete work.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and performing manual labor outdoors or in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred for transporting materials or equipment.
