Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of heavy equipment components during repairs or upgrades.
- Support customer service efforts by providing technical advice and ensuring timely completion of repairs to minimize downtime.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics including electrical systems troubleshooting and soldering techniques.
- Knowledge of schematics for mechanical and electrical systems; ability to interpret technical manuals accurately.
- Experience with fabrication techniques including welding; familiarity with power tools and hand tools required for precise repairs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.
