Position Summary:
Ray of Hope Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time Peer Recovery Support Specialist. This role involves offering clinical and professional guidance, ensuring adherence to ethical and practice standards, and supporting the development of our clients participating in Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs for mental health and substance use recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer professional mentorship and support in areas such as boundary-setting, documentation, self-care, and client engagement
- Ensure that PRS services align with agency policies, ethical guidelines, and recovery-oriented principles
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to support integration of peer support into treatment planning
- Stay informed of current best practices and state requirements for peer recovery services
Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist
- Experience working in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or peer services
- Strong understanding of peer support principles and recovery-oriented care
- Ability to lead with empathy, accountability, and a strengths-based approach
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Ohio Medicaid billing standards for peer recovery services
- Lived experience in recovery (mental health and/or substance use) strongly valued
