Job Purpose
Maximize wholesale vehicle value by monitoring and selling appointed inventory to the wholesale market. Build wholesale auction and recycle buyer base by maintaining relationships and helping support Rawhide sales strength.
Essential Functions
- Attend auctions, establishing wholesale vehicle sales prices to meet sales goals
- Communicate with current and prospective vendors and partners to sell product and maximize sales price
- Create weekly sales targets based on market conditions and available inventory
- Track key wholesale sales metrics and proactively address discrepancies and trends
- Monitor and maintain active Donor Service Centers
- Assist with retail sales staff as needed
- Monitor inventory
Job Responsibilities
- Maximize Sales Price
- Establish weekly sales targets based on current and historical wholesale trends
- Manage existing sales, buyer, and Donor Service Centers to build strong relationships, loyalty, and maximize revenue
- Lead Auction and Recycle Sales
- Attend or run auctions in person or online as needed
- Price vehicles to be sold
- Achieve auction sales goals for bid/ask ratios, closing ratios, and post-sale price negotiation
- Continue Business Development
- Connect with current buyers and research new areas of opportunity
- Expand buyer base into more areas of Wisconsin to help curb donation expenses
- Maintain Donor Service relationships by performing in-person visits and serving as the main point of contact
- Maintain Professional and Technical Knowledge
- Completing required trainings
- Attending educational workshops
- Reviewing professional publications
- Participating in professional societies
- Protects the Credibility of the Rawhide Mission
- Complying with the Rawhide standard of conduct
- Setting an example, in words and actions, that is consistent with the values and beliefs of Rawhide

- Performing other duties as directed or assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or willingness to complete training through Rawhide’s Learning Management System
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in a dealership environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High level of integrity; sets an example for all
- Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to vehicle sales
- Valid driver’s license
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an office environment and at auction locations
- Frequent travel to auctions, donor service centers, and meetings with buyers
- Requires standing for long periods at auctions and vehicle lots
- Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs
- Exposure to various weather conditions when working outdoors at auctions and vehicle site
