Mine Security Guard

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Mine Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our mining operations. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the premises, controlling access points, and maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and assets. Your proactive approach and keen eye for detail will help prevent theft, unauthorized entry, and potential threats, ensuring smooth and safe operations at all times. Responsibilities

• Monitor the mine site s and conduct regular visual inspections to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards
• Control access to the mining site by verifying credentials of employees, contractors, visitors, and vehicles
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
• Conduct patrols around the perimeter and critical areas of the mine to deter unauthorized access and safeguard assets
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks in accordance with company policies
• Enforce safety protocols by performing first aid when necessary and assisting with emergency response procedures such as CPR
• Manage conflict situations effectively through conflict management skills, ensuring a safe environment for all personnel

Skills

• Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, and loss prevention strategies
• Experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is highly desirable
• Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently in emergency situations
• Excellent conflict management skills with a calm and assertive demeanor
• Familiarity with security procedures specific to mining environments and asset protection
• Good physical fitness for patrol duties involving standing, walking, or climbing over extended periods
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and emergency responders

Pay: $13.00 per hour
