Job Summary
We are looking for a senior Business Consultant with deep industry expertise in retail order management and hands-on knowledge of ByCommits, ByDSS, and Sterling OMS. This role involves solution consulting, process design, roadmap planning, and acting as a strategic partner to business and technology leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end consulting engagements for OMS transformation using ByCommits, ByDSS, and Sterling OMS.
Define solution strategy, process optimization frameworks, and future-state operating models for order management and fulfillment.
Work closely with senior stakeholders (Directors, VPs) to translate high-level business goals into technical and functional solution plans.
Provide thought leadership for omnichannel order flows BOPIS, ship-from-store, replenishment, split shipments, returns, inventory visibility, etc.
Create high-level design documents, architectural recommendations, and solution blueprints.
Review functional requirements created by BAs and ensure alignment with business vision.
Guide cross-functional teams across development, QA, and architecture to ensure solution integrity.
Conduct feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis, and solution impact assessments.
Support vendor evaluation, product fitment analysis, and roadmap planning.
Provide subject matter expertise during implementation, rollout, and post-go-live optimization.
Required Skills & Experience
12 15 years of overall industry experience with strong consulting background.
Deep expertise in Sterling OMS functional flows and integration architecture.
Strong working knowledge of ByCommits and ByDSS, including configuration and business workflows.
Proven experience leading large-scale retail/eCommerce OMS transformation programs.
Strong presentation, leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work with executives and business leaders to drive strategic initiatives.
Preferred Skills
Experience with solutioning in distributed order orchestration environments.
Prior consulting experience with major retailers or consulting firms.
Exposure to cloud-based OMS platforms and microservices-based order platforms.
