Technical Compliance Analyst (Technical Rules & Standards Associate I)

Location: San Diego, CA (100% Onsite – 5 Days/Week)

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Potential Extension and Possible Conversion to Full-Time Based on Business Needs)

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM (30-Minute Lunch)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Compliance Analyst to support compliance activities related to technical rules, standards, reliability, and security requirements. The ideal candidate will assist with regulatory documentation, audit preparation, evidence collection, compliance monitoring, and reporting activities to help ensure adherence to applicable technical and regulatory standards.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain compliance documentation for regulatory filings, self-certifications, audits, and assessments.
  • Collect, organize, and validate audit evidence and supporting documentation.
  • Review operational logs, reports, and technical data to verify compliance with established reliability and security standards.
  • Maintain compliance tracking systems, databases, and evidence repositories.
  • Support internal and external audits by gathering documentation and ensuring readiness for compliance reviews.
  • Monitor updates to regulatory, reliability, and security standards and communicate relevant changes to stakeholders.
  • Assist in compliance training initiatives and awareness programs.
  • Follow established procedures for evidence collection, reporting, and documentation management.
  • Identify and escalate potential compliance issues, risks, or documentation gaps.
  • Generate compliance reports, metrics, and status updates for management review.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support ongoing compliance programs and process improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations, Compliance, or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, audit support, documentation management, operations, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance, audit, or governance programs.
  • Knowledge of reliability, security, operational, or technical compliance standards.
  • Experience maintaining compliance documentation and evidence repositories.
  • Familiarity with risk assessments, audit processes, and internal controls.
  • Experience using Power BI, Smartsheet, or similar reporting and tracking tools.
  • Experience working in utility, energy, infrastructure, engineering, or highly regulated industries.
