The Engagement Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Intake/Engagement Department, which includes overseeing the Engagement Specialists in various locations, and Registration Specialists. A small caseload that could include intakes, assessments, and ongoing clients will also be a part of this position. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities, managing program referrals from initial intake, and providing ongoing, targeted training for the Engagement team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquires technical knowledge about the population served and applies that knowledge in understanding and assisting with client difficulties.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with community partners and remains knowledgeable and current on community resources, including assisting with accessing and developing natural support systems in the community through community outreach as needed.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Engagement Program and provides supervision to Registration and Engagement CPSTs.
  • Ensures the team has the necessary cultural and linguistic knowledge to effectively work with the assigned population.
  • Ensures team members understand evidence-based services and can appropriately refer clients.
  • Collects data and outcome information by administering and collecting necessary forms from clients and their supports/families.
  • Teaches skills to effectively navigate the healthcare delivery system to utilize services effectively and efficiently, including evaluating the referral process to enhance service effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Attends and participates in treatment team, department, and agency meetings as required.
  • Completes required documentation and productivity requirements per agency policy.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Is effective in establishing rapport and building a collaborative relationship with adults, youth, and their families/caregivers including knowledge of clinical needs.
  • Displays professionalism, maturity, and respect in interactions with clients and their families.
  • Demonstrates good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills by returning and responding to phone calls or emails within 24 hours and other correspondence promptly, and through their ability to interact across cultures.
  • Maintains appropriate professional boundaries and seeks supervision as needed.
  • Displays strong written and organizational skills and can work in a team-based environment with diverse populations.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in social work or related field with experience in case management or care management.
  • Active Ohio License: LISW/LPCC required.
  • Supervisory experience and licensure designation are highly preferred.
  • Must have a valid Driver License
  • Must be able to pass a background check
