Qualifications and Requirements:
• Must dress professionally and maintain a well-groomed appearance.
• Must have a friendly outgoing personality and be extremely organized and motivated.
• Demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills
• Demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communication skills
• The ability to work within a team environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Position Description: Promote the club’s dining facilities for private events, business and social meetings and other member-related activities. Develop contracts for and oversee all administrative and operational aspects of preparing serving events. Work with F&B and Culinary departments to ensure that the guests’ expectations are exceeded.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Promotes, advertises and markets the club’s social events facilities and capabilities to all members
· Assists member clients in arranging events, luncheons, meetings, weddings and other social events.
· Prepares and monitors budgets for the department.
· Attends staff meeting and coordinates efforts to schedule work activities.
· Provides tours of the event facilities
· Works with the Executive Chef to determine selling prices, menus and other details.
· Oversees the development of contracts for events.
· Suggests and helps members plan menus in conjunction with the Executive Chef.
· Transmits necessary information to and coordinates event planning with production, serving and housekeeping staff.
· Arranges menu production and printing, procurement of decorations, entertainment, audio-visual and other special requests.
· Inspect finished arrangements.
· Handles complaints.
· Maintains past and potential client files.
· Helps develop Events budgets and reviews financial reports.
· Arranges for payment from clients.
· Critiques events to determine future needs and to implement necessary changes for increased quality and quantity.
· Tracks new products and trends in food service and events applicable to the club.
· Completes other special projects and assignments as directed by the CEO.
· Represents the club in area professional events including local, state or national events with approval of the CEO.
Compensation/Benefits:
· Full-time, salaried position
· Salary range (DOE) plus commissions and performance bonus up to 10% of annual salary.
