What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Coordinator - Ravago Resale Team position at Ravago Americas?
Purpose
The objective of the Inventory Coordinator is to track, maintain and monitor inventory. The Inventory Coordinator works closely with Product Specialists and Product Managers to maintain a clean and accurate inventory.
The department’s purpose is to control costs and facilitate sales through the proper planning and execution of a stocking program. Cost control is accomplished through designing and executing proper buying habits to better manage working capital. Sales facilitation is achieved through planning proper product mix, and providing prompt, accurate responses to PM’s, sellers, and CSRs. It is the Inventory Coordinator’s role to execute standard operating procedures, metrics, and policies that support the goals of NA Resale (Muehlstein and Genesis).
Essential Functions:
1. Pro-actively track and manage inbound shipments and bulk railcars
2. Enter purchase orders as required to support and cover the appropriate product coordinator
3. Update purchase information (dates, weights, railcar information)
4. Ensure railcar details exist in the system and provide any missing information.
5. Prepare and send inbound notifications to warehouses
6. Prepare and send packaging instructions
7. Track and monitor open and completed packaging requests
8. Monitor railcar aging to minimize detention charges at warehouses and customer locations.
9. Review supplier invoices for detention charges
10. Receive purchase orders into inventory upon placement at warehouse
11. Update batch status upon arrival at warehouse
12. Track on hand inventory and monitor aged inventory
13. Check for heels and maximum utilization of storage cars
14. Provide COO’s as necessary
15. Process reclassifications of inventory for blending, packaging, corrections, etc.
16. Process warehouse and intercompany transactions including triggering to transportation for shipment
17. Assist with research and resolution of supplier invoice discrepancies
18. Assist with inventory reconciliation
19. Provide back- up coverage to Product Coordinator as needed when business conditions require
20. All other duties as assigned as necessary

2. Licenses / Certifications:
a. Valid driver’s license – required
